Explorer’s Nature Journal

I designed and illustrated this kid’s nature journal for Lonely Planet Kids with art direction from Emily Dubin. “Packed with journaling pages, illustrations, discovery tips, and more, this fun nature journal is the perfect way for curious kids to remember all of their incredible outdoor adventures.”

Letters to My…

I’ve designed and illustrated more than 30 titles in the Letters to My . . . series created by artist Lea Redmond and published by Chronicle Books. Each book includes 12 fold-and-mail style letters with prompts to inspire self-reflection. Once written, the letters can be sealed with the stickers included and postdated. The keepsake bundle of letters is like a dozen diary entries for the future. More than 4 million copies in the series have been sold and it has been one of Oprah’s Favorite Things. You can view the whole collection here: LettersToMy.com

American Girl

I was hired by Mattel to combined 5 reader books into one treasury using the American Girl style guide. I was responsible for cover art, typesetting and reformatting illustrations. Art direction by Riza Cruz.

Dance For Joy

Dance For Joy is a vibrantly illustrated and inclusive celebration of dance in all its styles, moods, and meanings. Illustrated by Aurélia Durand and published by Chronicle Books. I designed the book, notecard set and journal with art direction from Allison Weiner.

Aggretsuko

I designed a suite of Aggretsuko products for Chronicle Books, using Sanrio’s Aggretsuko art assets. Description from Chronicle: “The first character Sanrio created specifically for adults, Aggretsuko is both a cute, endearing red panda just going about her life, and the fed up office worker who's tired of being pushed around.”

Seeing Gender

Seeing Gender: An Illustrated Guide to Identity and Expression is written and illustrated by Iris Gottlieb and published by Chronicle Books. I designed the book with direction from Michael Morris. Wanting to let Iris’ illustrations shine, the text is simple and easy to read.

Chronicle Books

In the years since my design fellowship at Chronicle Books, I’ve had the pleasure of designing several titles for the entertainment division.
